Joined&NZ originated in 2004 after I had read the inspiring book from Lou Gerstner “Who says Elephants can’t dance?”. In this book Lou shows how he managed to change a very bureaucratic company like IBM was before into a lean and more flexible organization. In those days I was working as a projectmanager @ the Dutch Railways (NS) in which I was involved in changing processes similar to IBM. Lou’s book as well as the dancing elephant of Joined&NZ are a symbol for problems which are sometimes to big to deal with in our perception. If you’ve ever had a Time-Management-training you know how to consume an Elephant,…….., in small pieces.

The name Joined&NZ (it’s pronounced as Joined&Nzzzzzzz) can be seen as the counterpart of the name SplitEnz, a popular band in the eigthies. Joined&NZ stands for working together towards a common goal. The last letters are the first of Nina and Zuzia, my wonderful daughters.
Joined&Nz may also be pronounced as Joined Dance which brings us to the dancing Elephant……..Want to listen to SplitEnz ?
